Is this freaking exciting or what?
We are going to be exhibiting artisans on Inn Street alongside ten thousand Riverfest Giant fans!
I don’t know about anyone else, but, …..I’m feelin it.
If you do not know what’s going down on Inn Street these days I’d 1). check your pulse and see if your still alive, or 2). Pay closer attention
Let’s start first with the Inn Street Artisans Labor Day Market Show approval.
Yes…. We did it!
Sorry for the delay. I have been out of sorts getting this all finalized these past two days. And I still wasn’tabsolutely sure until this morning. We practically pulled this one out of thin air!
City council, if you haven’t heard by now, voted for approval after being green lighted by the License and Permits Committee, anchored by Councilor Bruce Vogel. All sign offs by Police, Fire and DPW have been made. Insurance purchased and we are ready to rock with the giants!!!!
Special thanks to city councilor Bruce Vogel for sticking his neck out for me and the artisans, and all the support of the license and permits committee (Councilor Devlin, Earls, and Eigerman). Honorable mention to city clerk ( and artist) Richard Jones, Craig Holt (License Commission Chairman), Kate Quill (Paige Insurance), Lynn Varney (Assistant to the License Commission), Claudia Harris (Letter of Recommendation/Proprietor of Elephant Trunk), and everyone that had a hand in pulling this event off with such short notice and propelling the Artisans Revival to new and higher ground!
Upward and Onward….
The Revival will be featuring some of its local favorites, Amy’s Creations, Third Shift Fabrications, Plum Islander Art, Gerri Maffris, Steve Purlmutter Photography, Beachscapes, Winchester Chinese School Calligraphy, yours truly the Spirit of Newburyport and more! I also heard through the Revival grapevine that we will also be introducing some new vendors to the movement like, Sac A Main’s leather and upholstered bags, Frothinghams floral arrangements and Stained Glass by Kristine!
There are still a couple select spaces available so if you have been on the fence with this one now’s the time to make it happen!
Stay tuned the Artisans Revival facebook page for a full listing, more information and updates throughout the weekend!
